Hurley said he was very impressed with the Lakers, and they made a very compelling offer. But he decided to stay where he is. Can’t we leave it at that? Of course not. It has to be beaten into the ground.

In business you make an offer. If he was interested but wanted more, there would have been a negotiation. There is no evidence of that. Sometimes it’s just not about the money.

it’s a topic for discussion because it’s a high profile example of the dysfunction that has plagued this front since Dr Buss passed on. We’re about to hire our 7th head coach in 13 years. No wonder Hurley turned down this mess…
