Aloha,
While most of the attention will go to AD and Russ, look at the starters
Russ +1
AD + 3
DJ + 4
Bazemore + 6
Monk + 31
While Monk had 17 points 4 for 9 from 3 and 3 assists. That plus 31 shows that he was playing well on defense as well. Also a shout out to Reeves who was on the floor with a monk during that run that erased that 12 point deficit.

I concur with you, Michael. Good observation once again. While watching the game I became a little bit frustrated with how the Spurs’ Poelti kept corralling those offensive rebounds when we seem to have size advantage. I thought that has to do with AD and Howard helping our guards while leaving him free to grab the rebounds. I was also reminded of your insistence on our need for a bigger power forward who could hold the fort and have a nose for rebounds on that end. It is very frustrating to see us get outrebounded in almost every game this early going. What are your thoughts?

Monk’s +/- was largest for any Lakers player for a game this season. And only second time in Monk’s career that he has started. That logo three he took was freakin’ incredible.
