Uh——yep!
Vando has always been a role-player, I never bought into the Mo Bamba “HES GOT LONG ARMS!!!!” hype (that’s what trying to sell me a load on THT gets people lol) and of all of them one really should only expect D-Lo to perform at a high level in the playoffs. He’s certainly shrunk from the moment.
But the flip side is does anyone really believe we would have gotten this far with Russ? I love his toughness and grit but his fit was always better on a team like the Clippers with a traditional screening big man and shooters for him to release to.
IMO the Lakers have made the best of repairing that trade as they could have done in terms of this season. My only caveat is I would have never traded Thomas Bryant whom I think would have had a decent role in both this and the Golden State series. Mo is absolute fool’s gold and will be waived this summer.
