Stuck in 13th place. Only because SA and HOU have no desire to win.
Teams ahead in the standings still winning with no signs of letting up.

True but 4 of 6 teams at the top of West are all on losing streaks.
So are the Lakers showing again they can’t even really compete with mediocre squads, particularly on the road. 7 games before the dealine, all of which they’re likely underdogs. Maybe they win 2? 3? At around 25-32 or so, trade or no trade, making even the 10 spot may be too much to envision.
They could well be sunk before the deadline.
