My wife and I had the honor of meeting him at a restaurant in Atlanta a few years ago. He often visited the hospital where my wife works, and they grew quite close. She has met many celebrities through her job, but Dikembe’s warmth and generosity stood out. His loss is truly a significant one for the world.
