Because it is only giving up 1 first round pick (4 years from now) and Turner is obviously needed to strengthen the weak center position as AD does not wish to play center on defense, and his fragile health may likely return….I would do this trade. Hate to lose Hachimura, I had thought he would be the 3.5/4 position player to take over when LeBron calls it a career. Jalen Hood-Schifino is obviously never going to pan out as a Laker…I find many proposed trades to be unrealistic and this one may be as well…the fact that Turner is a free agent after this season is one reason Pacers may be willing to trade him….but they are contenders this season…and they may be throwing away their chances in the playoffs by trading him.
