Great point, UR. Clearly my biggest complaint about the Lakers’ defense. Defenders need to stay with shooters in the corners. Their hedging doesn’t put them in position to help on a drive in the paint and only leaves their man wide open in the corners. Vogel needs to fix this.
Yeah the defense has not been up to par at all.
Over helping off a corner shooter is something the coaching staff needs to constantly remind players because it’s the key to balancing individual and team defensive responsibilities. Defenders just cannot leave shooters wide open in the corners in today’s NBA. Period!
