Nice post Jamie. The thing to keep in mind is the Jazz has some quality players, especially the front. A couple could start for us. Injuries have a lot to do with their record. All of their best players have missed extended periods of time. Some of that time might have been tank related and sometimes their rotations have been very tank friendly. But you just knew that those guys were going to come out strong after the last game. There are a lot of teams with better records than the Jazz, that doesn’t have as much talent. And in the NBA you can lose to anyone. Hopefully this game was a reminder of that.
Great Post Jamie, one guy I would also mention is Goodwin. Talk about taking advantage of an opportunity. 2nd good game in a row for him. 17 points, 8 boards and tough defense. He has looked better in the last two than Cam has looked in any game this year. While he may not make the varsity this year, he setting himself up for a contract this summer.
Come to think of it, perhaps they could not cut Cam because of the Hornets trade challenge.
My concern with Jackson has been his weight. At 220 he is moved around by bulky centers. I do know that we need to add another center. If something were to happen to Jackson, we can’t exclusively play small. There have been rumors swirling that Wood may not come back this year. And Wood is a small ball center as well. We need to do one of two things. Cut someone now and add a center. Currently Mo Bamba is probably the best option. Or we can wait and use our two way guys. Whoever is looking the best before the end of the season, we can cut a player then and add the two way, since they are already on the roster we can do that. I would honestly like them to figure it out before the all star break so they have the time to incorporate whoever into the system.
I’ve caught several South Bay games. He’s looked good in the G league.
