This Day in Knicks History: Wat Misaka was selected by the Knicks in the 1947 BAA Draft.
Misaka would later become the first player of Japanese descent to play in the league that was the predecessor to the NBA. pic.twitter.com/rkNiScHnM9

Kuzma averaged 1.9 APG…please don’t talk in circles about shooting…Don’t wanna hear it about this G League offense you want to bring back Tom…
-
-
-
I respectfully disagree, Sean. Can’t add guys like these who are low volume, low percentage 3-point shooters. Not considering we are near bottom of league in 3-point takes, makes, and percentage.
Dinwiddie is career 31.8% on 2.3 threes per game.
DeRozan is career 28.1% on 1.3 threes per game.
-
Saying no to one 20 pt scorer would be a bad look. Balking at 2 after this season, is unconscionable…
-
Funny thing, who was supposed to pass Dinwiddie the ball in BKN? Anyone…They had Spence and Joe Harris as tangible offensive players. He shot 34% the year before though…There was no Kyrie, no KD, no Harden and Dinwiddie even had them averaging 111 pts/GM (16th) and he turned them into a Top 10 pace team…
-
Dinwiddie isn’t just a scorer and facilitator, he changes the pace of games. Dennis could have taken more control in pace…he did not…
-
-
-
-
I understand shooting is a disadvantageous skill for both of them, but they do so many other things well offensively and consistently I don’t think we should let either one test the waters if they want to come here. One of those guys instantly makes our offense more balanced.
-
-
I don’t care 🤷 either TBH. Myles Turner, DeMar DeRozan, Buddy Hield, Davis Bertans, Dame, Spencer Dinwiddie, Zach Lavine…I don’t care, just bring someone that provides cushioning offensively. And I don’t care how ya get the ball in the hole. The only thing that matters is that you get the ball 🏀 in the 🕳 hole.

After seeing CP3 get there last night, can we find a way to get Melo to the mountaintop before he calls it a career? Yeah, I stan. So what? I want to see Melo in an NBA Finals before he's done. #NBA pic.twitter.com/97dOQSU2a0

Melo and Vince to me, two players that were amongst their peers in greatness. Circumstances always made it hard to build winners around them.
-
Melo was up there for a moment in terms of raw, offensive talent, but his self-centered priorities were always going to stick a pin in any championship aspirations. By the time he came around, the tread was off the tires. Even joining with a Lebron who can no longer dominate a 7 game series and an AD who can’t be counted on to stay healthy in a contiguous season, that’s unlikely to change.
-
That’s correct. He’s only playing 20 mins a night. I’d rather have him launching 3’s than Pebbles (Kuzma wears Pearls)
-
At this point I’d take a D league castoff over Kuz that doesn’t do something stupid half the time he’s out there, but Melo doesn’t really move the needle any more either. Banking on Melo making a difference, you’re better off selling high on the klutch clowns.
-
-
-
I’m way into it. Melo has changed from his NYC days where he insisted on so many things both on and off the court. Seems like he’s looking for a fit and we could be it.
ALso, what’s the probability the Clipps buyout Rondo next season? I say 99.99999%
-
-
Multiple DNP in favor of Reggie, he’s owed $15 mil. Maybe try and work a S&T w/someone but not sure who would take that offer.

Hopefully avoids ACL tear or need for surgery but don't see how the rest of his playoffs aren't over. https://t.co/Z57QBgCzsn

In the NBA, Giannis Antetokounmpo off with knee hyperextension injury. Unfortunately brings many possibilities.
Best case: bone bruise, PCL/capsular sprain
Worst case: ACL injury
Hope for best case but concerned w significant hyperextension movement. 🤞🤞pic.twitter.com/6DYIDcY5SG— NRL PHYSIO (@nrlphysio) June 30, 2021

That was a very scary and ugly injury. I couldn’t even watch the replays. Glad the fans in the arena were sportsmanlike and showed him some love with an ovation when he finally got up despite rooting against him. Wish him a speedy recovery.

-
Man, I can’t believe Giannis could walk without help after that. I couldn’t watch that injury again after seeing it once. ike PG and Hayward injuries. Good luck, Giannis.

All of a sudden now even with a sore knee I’d still have the Bucks winning. It’s honestly a coin flip though.

If he gets that I’ll be astounded. Only way is if one of the few teams with boat loads of cap space see him as the final

So is loyalty. That’s what ultimately mindfucked this organization with the man. He allowed them opportunities to try and help him and it never happened…

Chauncey was gonna answer the question and likely…give a thoughtful response rather than Olshey giving PR the look and shutting it down…

Makes it look like they’ve got more to hide. If it bleeds, it leads. They’re gonna bury Neil Olshey or Chauncey. One of them is going down.

There’s never really been a good example of a synergistic relationship between a businessperson owning two different sports in two different franchises and having success at either…
