Anyone think it might be how the Coach figures who plays together well and such? Or was tonite a figment?

Actually, I would go for that, DJ. This group played their hearts out. There was no need to defer to LeBron or AD. They found a way to hold each other’s back and went to work. They kept their composure and played with confidence. This is the most unlikely win of the season, if not in franchise history.

There’s a long list of recently fired and retreads lining up for interviews. It’s the players, boys, then the coach. Look at the Lakers.

Just read an interview with J Kidd talking about how great Irving and Doncic are going to be together. Like a rich guy bragging about his new wife, the call girl who promised to quit her job.

Hi, John, I’ve got a question for you and all our fellow bloggers here. Since number 6 for Bill Russell is retired across the NBA, should we not retire James’s #6 on March 7th, the day Pau’s number will be retired?
-
2 thoughts: They usually (always?) retire jerseys after a player has finished his career, and the league beat them to
number 6 anyway. He’ll certainly get his spot in the rafters eventually.-
Sorry, I forgot he is still wearing #6.

I think we all know what the recipe is, but fans want it microwaved while the team is going for the crock pot. Tastes better that way but waiting’s no fun.
-
Very true, John. Waiting is no fun. Sometimes I feel like waiting for our team to be fully healthy has been the longest waiting period for me. No fun at all. Going through the motions of what-if, could’ve, would’ve, should’ve has been mentally exhausting. But still, having to go with the crock pot would be more refreshing to me compared to the microwave. Good point, man.

Russ got another triple. Off with his head (again) 🙂 Or at least trade him somewhere…

Lakers, Dodgers, and Rams are playing tomorrow at roughly the same time. Hard to believe the TV people could let that happen.

LOL. Yankees playing for wildcard, Lakers first preseason game, and 49ers playing rival Seahawks. All start within one hour of each other. A true test of my fandoms.
Yankees will lose. Fire Boone. 49ers will lose. Fire Shannahan.
Doesn’t matter if Lakers win or lose, I will be watching that game as first priority and score watching the other games.

Drummond signs with Philly. 1 yr, $ not mentioned. So essentially we swapped him for Dwight. I call that a win.

Winning games against quality opponents ahead of you in the standings is not something to take for granted. Doing it without LeBron James is winning at another level. It’s one thing to learn how to win the minutes LeBron is off the court and another to learn how to win without LBJ. Lakers starting to do that is a big deal imo.
