With the Lakers on Wednesday honoring the late Dr. Jerry Buss (as we do on today’s show), the team looked to extend the win streak as they continued the homestand against the Sacramento Kings. But once more, the Lakers suffered from poor execution after a fourth-quarter comeback and lose to the Kings 116-111 to fall to 20-25. Tune in as the guys from Lakers Fast Break talk about the game, and share their thoughts on the chants of “Sell The Team” (or was it Light The Beam) ringing in Jeanie’s ears at the Crypt (and on a day they honored her father no less!), and can the Lakers finish out the homestand with a win against Memphis. It’s Dr. Buss night at the Crypt and also right here at the Lakers Fast Break podcast!

Ham’s closing of games is becoming a problem.
Should have included veteran assistant coach on staff.-
D.Ham’s best attribute is player relations. The fact that he got Russ to thrive off the bench, AD to finally play like a center, and LeBron to focus more on getting to the rim has already made this a successful rookie season for him. The Other stuff will come.
BTW…he was correct for not calling TO in the Philly game. You had Russ 1-on-1 against Embiid with the defense scrambling…that’s exactly what you want and why alotta coaches play it the same way. Russ just messed it up.

The Lakers looked to rebound after two straight close losses on bad calls as they celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. day at home against the Houston Rockets. And it took another heroic performance from LeBron James (48pts) and a season-low two turnovers to overcome bad defense in a 140-132 victory over the Rockets to go to 20-24 on the season. Tune in as Jamie Sweet from lakersball.com, “MagicMan” Sean Grice, Joe Soro from SynBlades.com/lakersball.com, and Gerald Glassford from the Lakers Fast Break share thoughts on the game, why it’s really tough at times to watch how ugly they play without Lebron, and if they can get back on another winning streak. We celebrate the holiday and SIX HUNDRED EPISODES right here on the Lakers Fast Break podcast!

The Lakers looked to get back on track as they continued the homestand against Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. But another round of poor execution down the stretch along with terrible outside shooting, and as in Friday’s game some important missed calls, and the Lakers end up losing once again 113-112 to the Sixers to go to 19-24. Tune in as Joe Soro from lakersball.com/SynBlades.com takes over for Gerald and Jamie Sweet from lakerholics.com cover the game with the best Laker analysis and opinions anywhere! They ponder why Joel Embiid’s foul on the last-second shot by Russell Westbrook didn’t get called, the team’s continual problems with shooting from the outside, LeBron James reaching 38,000 points, and if there’s any hope left for Laker fans. What could possibly go wrong with Joe in charge? Will he and Jamie get the LFB booted off of YouTube? Find out on our latest Lakers Fast Break podcast!

The Lakers, riding high on a five-game winning streak head into the Rocky Mountains to face off against the Denver Nuggets. But LeBron’s sore ankle kept him out of tonight’s matchup which spelled the end of the Lakers’ recent fortunes as Nikola Jokic and the rest of the Nuggets dismantled LA. Tune in as Joe Soro from lakersball.com and Gerald Glassford from Lakers Fast Break lament over how LeBron’s ankle and a tired Lakers team equaled such a tough loss, how LeBron’s recent comments are becoming more pointed at the front office’s inactivity, and can they get back on a roll once again. Our ankles are sore but we’re still suiting up for another great Lakers Fast Break podcast!

With the M.A.S.H. unit gaining more patients as Austin Reaves and Troy Brown Jr. joined Lonnie Walker IV and AD on the sidelines with injuries, there’s no better time for LeBron James to return from illness than Friday night at the Crypt against the Atlanta Hawks. And while LeBron’s return was solid, it was the play of the supporting cast that lifted the team to a strong 70-point first half and ended cruising to a 130-114 victory. Tune in as Joe Soro from lakersball.com/SynBlades.com, “MagicMan” Sean Grice, and Gerald Glassford from the Lakers Fast Break are so encouraged over the win, can they repeat the same success Saturday in Sacramento, and will Joe (and maybe Gerald) have to take the Blazing Wings Challenge? The Lakers come back home to the Crypto.com arena to find themselves without LeBron James, who is out with a Non-COVID illness. Tune in as Joe Soro from lakersball.com/SynBlades.com and Gerald Glassford from the Lakers Fast Break give praise where it needs to go with great performances from Dennis Schröder, Thomas Bryant, and Russell Westbrook, speculate if the good play can continue without LeBron in the lineup, and what Joe may do for his next food challenge! Before heading out on a five-game road trip including a Christmas Day matchup with the Mavs, the Lakers have a holiday home game against the hapless Charlotte Hornets.
