There’s no doubt, Dave, that there has never been a playoff with as many injuries to players, especially stars and superstars as these crazy Last Man Standing playoffs.

However, I also think it was obvious that our role players, who performed wonderfully during the Bubble Championship, showed their vulnerabilities and weaknesses in these playoffs.

We’ll likely be forced to roll with some form of ‘run it back’ simply because we don’t have enough trading chips for an extreme makeover but can only afford a minor tuneup. We desperately need to add a third star player and more high volume, high percentage 3-point shooting if we hope to compete next season.

Trades like this don’t really happen anymore.
