I am thinking that KD has won his last ring. That being said, what about a Westy for KD? Westy has expiring contract and KD has 4 more years at major $$$. Kyrie could opt out? Perhaps a great way for the Lakers to win now and Nets to start over after next year.

KD to the Lakers would be very intriguing and one for the box office, but I don’t see any team helping the Lakers. Also, has anyone notice KD seems like he’s hitting a wall? His body language keeps telling me it is a matter of time before he can no longer carry a team all by himself.

Nets aren’t pulling the plug on KD after 1 bad series. The bigger decision for them is what to do with Kyrie whose deal is up.

Here is the thing, KD will be 34 at start of next season and will be making over $50 Mil at 38. If they were smart they’d trace and get out. He’s been t6here 2 years and nothing. He played 35 Games last year and only 55 (LeBron anybody) and why they think KD with or without Kyrie will win ever?

By that line of thinking we should definitely cut bait with LeBron then. But The Nets won’t do it, especially for what little we have to offer. It would take more #1‘s and not 5 years down the line. Better to just run it back and see what happens with Kyrie & Ben Simmons on the court for a whole season. KD came within a toenail of knocking off the eventual Champs just by himself last year.

Games played: Embiid 68, J Brown 66, Harden 65, Luka 65, Ja 57, LBJ 56, KD 55, Kyrie 29. LeBron played average 37.2 Minutes Per. He was number 5 of players that played over 50 games. This was supposed to be his year with easier minute load.

Fact of the matter is that Lebron has missed major time due to injury in 3 of his 4 seasons here…after being virtually indestructable in all his previous years. It’s becoming a trend and seems to be affecting his style of play.

Lakers 17, Celts 17, Bulls 6, Warriors 6, Spurs 5, Heat 3, Philly 3 and Pistons 3. LeBron James was the only Cleve Ring and 2 of the 3 Heat and our only one since 2010.
These Teams have NONE: Indy, Atlanta, Charlotte, Orlando, Denver, Minny, OKC, Utah, LA Clipps, Phoenix, Sactown, Memphis and NO Pels and such. They don’t grow on trees and are very hard to get. Counting my 17 blessings. : )![Profile Photo]()

So is the implication that we won some rings a while back and at least we’re not one of the loser franchises that never has? That’s a loser mentality. That’s like saying you’re excited to be with a chick you’re not that into because some of your friends can’t get laid. GTFOH with that weak noise.

I kinda think that it was a mistake to send Trez out. He could have easily played the C and his energy is so great. I knew better about all the 3 shooters we got were waaaaay overrated, said so. There is usually a reason why Baze and Ellington and such fly from team to team. Should not have let Kidd go. Coach o the year?

Sorry, Dave, but I disagree completely. Trez was a mistake to sign in the first place as he is not a shot blocker or floor stretcher, which means he cannot protect the rim or create spacing. He was a poor fit for what the team needed and Pelinka probably thought he pulled coup by stealing him from the Clippers. In the end, he didn’t play well and ended up as trade filler.

Trez had a plus/minus for last seasn of +0.6, which was 10th on the Lakers’ roster. He was 13th in player Defrtg and 11th in Offrtg. Like I said, a poor fit who can only play the five but can’t stretch the floor or protect the rim. One trick unicorn. Can get some points.

LT, perhaps you could explain why so many news people are beating LBJ up? I understand if he made Lakers go for Westy, but LeBron gave us 30 points a game and in the top 25 scorers he led all at 37 minutes per (that was ridiculous! Not his fault that AD broke down. Nor his fault that we signed the Can’t shoot a lick gang.” As far as Coaching the Coach and staff have to change a little by what they have. Vogel really never did that. Most of us fell for guys like THT, even Reaves and Johnson to an extent.

Because some can’t fathom that stats don’t tell the whole story. If I told you there was guard averaging 18.5/7.4/7.1 on 44% shooting, you’d probably think that’s not half bad. Well that’s none other than Russ. Stats are meaningless if they don’t contribute to winning. You’ve been following this game a long time to let that simple tidbit escape you.

We have to do whatever to get back to a CHIP Team. Trade any or all. If anyone was watching AD and LBJ came down on feet. You can’t prevent that, happens. And that cloud over Westy all year, they Big 3 really never had a chance because of injuries. I thought is was a bad idea of thinking we could get anything out of Ariza or Baze or Wellington or the list goes on. I was hoping that LeBron could just play loose and shoot the ball, but alas. Oh and a quick note: Kobe gave us 5 Rings over 20 Years, LBJ gave us 1 in 4 years. Same ratio. LeBron gave us all he had this year at 37. I ain’t rippin on him. If we are eventually out, which seems basic now, that we give the ball to LBJ if he comes back and have him shoot 50 shots. I will give exceptions to Magic cuz of what he gave us and he wants Lakers to win soooo badly.

You, of all people, shouldn’t be using Lebron and Kobe in the same sentence. I don’t have that same, stupid, sentimental gene, and when it becomes painfully obvious these guys are no longer championship centerpieces, let’s hurry up and find the next one. Dr. Buss didn’t waste a second fretting about showing Shaq the door when it was apparent the guy was no longer that dude, and Lebron will never mean as much to this franchise. Better to not waste time and resources in a nucleus that’s not going anywhere and sacrifice the next decade. Let this bunch go. Channel your inner Dr. Buss and find the next.

I like the cut of you job , sir! But I fear it’s all for naught. We may get to the playin, we may not, but we’re toast not long after that. Thinking if we can do 6-3 we are in, perhaps 5-4 gets us there too. Pels, Spurs and Blazers have fairly lose able games in their last ones.

Could get lucky here DJ. The Suns have clinched so we probably won’t see CP3and perhaps other key players as well. Same thing with the Warriors. Curry is out and probably won’t play against us. We play the Nuggets the last game of the year. Will we see the Joker if the Nuggets have nothing to play for? Might get lucky and dodge some stars down the stretch.

If we can’t pull off a good trade I would prefer to run it back and have the deck cleared up next year and go from there. As for LA fans, winning isn’t just everything, it is the only thing. You are absolutely right about that, DJ.
