Hi, DJ, I would like to congratulate your sister for her Nuggets winning the championship. This could have been a repeat of the bubble year except that we came up short. Your sister is an ardent NBA fan, and I have always enjoyed every story you bring up about her. Let her enjoy the victory lap, and we will be back next year. Hopefully, we will get our revenge.

The only way to go over the salary cap is to resign your own players that have bird rights. For instance we could resign DLO, Austin and Rui and go over because we have bird rights. We could not resign Dennis or Lonnie and go over because they only played one year and we don’t have bird rights. Next year you will be able to bring back 110% of the money you send out in a trade but after that it will be dollar for dollar in a trade. The reason why the Warriors are so far over the cap is because they drafted a lot of their players.

help. If DLO goes off the books at $31 Mil. Why could we not spend that on Kyrie (if he’d take it)? And we will lose more salary because we are not keeping Beezer and others that are not under contract for next season. And yes I know we’ll pay “Funky Music” about $15 Mil or so. Even at Pick 17 we should get a player.

If he took 30 then we could probably do it but it wouldn’t leave a lot of cap space. But why would he take 30 is the better question. He will get a bigger offer from the Mavs. Rarely does a player take far less than what he can get. It’s always business first. Malik loved the Lakers but he was offered 3 mil more by the Kings and took it.

What I do not understand is if we let DLO walk (Save $31M) and Beaser & friends get us another $30Mil.

We re over the cap and once you dip back down you need guys w/Bird Rights (have been on the team a spell) to go over the cap. That’s how GS has carried a massive team salary, they keep a lotta guys year to year.

Let see we beat the 2nd seed Grizzlies, and the 6 seed Warriors. The 3rd seed Kings lost, the 4th seed Suns lost, the 5th seed Clippers lost. Got all the way to the conference finals but because we lost to probably the team that wins it all, you want to get rid of most of the players?

which way we go, is it LBJ and AD and adding Kyrie? Ya go for the roses one more time or look for trades for either or both? LBJ to Warriors for Wiggins and Poole? AD to Chicago for Lavine plus picks? We need to keep “Funky Music” for sure and Rui. Who cares about the rest! Certainly no more DLO or Schro!

to see “Funky Music” and Ice Water Man do what was needed! The “Father Time” was unreal, as well as AD! Lakers did exactly what I said by shutting off the 3 point valve of the Warriors!

Up 2, Philly ball 13 sec to shoot and then Celts get ball back with 15 secs left. I asked my wife, hey what can you ABSOLUTELY not do? She says let them shoot a 3. Yeah! Harden wide open, lol. Very poor coaching at the game’s end. Good series for the NBA though.
PS-Best hair in the NBA? Celts Smart.

Sure is something when 1 ill-advised shot can sink you. Porter’s 3 attempt was a bad shot at games end. That turned the game to Suns easy. Just like GS, if you stop the Suns 3’s, you lose. Anyone think the NBA wants Laker to win game 4? They love these 2-2 shootouts.
