I agree re Luka’s resume, Rafael. His experience in Euro basketball helped prepare him to excel in the NBA as a 21-year old. But because he’s not a uber athlete, it’s hard to predict his ceiling in the NBA. He’s putting up superstar numbers but I’m not sure he’ll be a superstar.
Luka’s producing at such a prodigious level right now at just 21-years old, I wonder how much better can he be? His ceiling could be Larry Bird but he may lack the athleticism to become a Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, or even Zion Williamson. What do you think?
I agree with you about Luka’s lack of athleticism, it will likely keep him from being considered the best player in the game.
His brain will allow him to keep evolving, you’re right Tom. This isn’t when Mavs traded for Dirk and built around a big man who could shoot the lights out.
Need to be smart about building around him. you’re gonna need a big who can roll and potentially jump out of the building.
And someone to flank him on defense. Not a terrible defender, needs to get a little stronger.
Biggest jump from college to NBA is the physical maturation.
Can’t stand his squad, admire his will. Since Kobe had a soft spot for him, I think most of us have the same soft spot. Seems like just a good guy the generation could use as a vehicle.
AD, Giannis, Luka we’re in good hands for the future.
