Of course this helps. The last thing they need is a 3rd guy on a supermax deal not giving them supermax performance nor durability.

Exactly, they have a little wiggle room to build a team this season. Likely means Ayton has to be moved for smaller deals a La Russell.

It also could end up getting them CP3 on a minimum deal, which would be great and the only way the Lakers add him. He will go to the Clippers because the Lakers won’t guarantee him a starting role.

I heard that Clipps might return Westy, mostly cuz he plays. Khawi and PG hurt more than LBJ and AD.

Clips 1st choice to start at PG is Russ for min.
If Russ says no, then CP3 has a shot to start.
Lakers should not offer that to Chris.
