In retrospect, Jimmy would have been a perfect fit on this team. LeBron and AD don’t need another superstar forward. What they needed was a superstar guard to balance the lineup. Every great team had a superstar guard.
That’s why I think it’s foolish to pursue Giannis unless, who is another forward and needs to be surrounded by shooters. Lakers need a good sized two-way guard like Oladipo, who at 6′ 4″ is always among the leading disruptors defensively. They don’t need a third superstar forward.
Butler didn’t want to be second fiddle on any team. He wants to create/cement his own legacy. He’s doing that in Miami and honestly it’s an organization that suits him.
