This is a very interesting report regarding Alex Caruso's negotiations with the #Lakers before signing with the Bulls:https://t.co/YC9wmat5Uj pic.twitter.com/NKKHC4uYrl

He was willing to go back there at three years and 30 million, Brian. He actually gave them that option, even at the end. It’s less than what he signed for in Chicago, but even that was more than they were willing to pay… That was as far as they were willing to go. The Lakers, they looked at Caruso and said, ‘We can go to 7 million a year. But above that, it gets too cost-prohibitive.’”

He’s a great defender, great in the locker room…limited offensively. He’s also reached his ceiling….We don’t know yet if THT even has a ceiling if he develops a jumper. Interesting 🤨 for sure.

Look, if Individual defense was such a huge need/want…Simmons would be U-Hauling to Minny or Indy…

Yep, notice it’s the shooters who are getting the coin again although $10M for Nerlens shows elite defenders still are respected.

One played in every playoff game, the other did not. Honestly felt as much like a Clutch move/youth move as anything else. Caruso is an old NBA young guy at 27, Nunn and THT are a few years younger. Caruso would have fallen into the win now slot, these other moves feel like they could pan out as building for the future without sacrificing too much now. Nunn needs to be able to replicate his Miami impact and add to it, THT needs to keep developing or this will hurt in the playoffs.

Again…. Let’s not forget..this is the same multi-billion dollar organization that applied for and received PPP funds and only gave it back after being publicly shamed into it. They ain’t going much deeper into that luxury penalty…

not happy with this move. It’s like ole boy said in Rounders. Pays Him. Pay that man his money!
