With LeBron out of the lineup, a new homestand starts at the Crypt Friday night against the Sacramento Kings. But it was the same old story as the Lakers once again couldn’t execute in the fourth quarter as the Lakers go to 2-10 after a 120- 114 loss to the Kings. Tune in as LakerTom from lakerholics.com, Joe Soro from lakersball.com and “MagicMan” Sean Grice talk with Gerald from the LFB and share their pointed opinions on the game, what the rest of the homestand could look like, and how long LeBron could stay out of the lineup. Sean made the best argument for why the Lakers have to trade with the Pacers last night, which was there is no way the team can tank with the Pelicans trying to get Wembanyama. Lakers don’t tank or quit. That’s not how we go.

I could’ve sworn we were tanking all those years when we ended up with Julius, D.Russell, Lonzo, B.I., etc. Maybe that was somebody else…….
Of course it makes no sense this year since we don’t own our pick but let’s not pretend we’re above it and have never done it.

Lakers couldn’t tank right those years nor make the right draft choices to have a real franchise core. That’s a failing of the FO. Now they’ve finally got a team bad and gutless enough to have the overall worst record and they do it when they don’t even own their pick. Let’s hope NO has a bad run of their own and the Lakers can at least get a pick in the middle of the draft while simultaneously only losing a pick outside the top 3 of their own.
