Great show guys. The return of Thomas Bryant could be a really great thing. Damien probably tops out as the better defender but Bryant is a far more accomplished and diverse offensive talent. Either way we got younger and more athletic at the 5 which was a huge goal for the summer.

Welcome aboard, grandson of LT!

I think the flip from old to young along with adding the Bryant/Jones tandem which creates a very different dynamic is good for 2-3 wins, maybe more if Bryant really turns back the clock and is this season’s Malik Monk. I also kinda feel like “Youth Movement” undersells it a bit as, while young, all these guys have been around a few seasons and are entering prime talent range.

Hard for the Lakers to get a windfall given the tools they had to work with. I think that, outside LW4, they’ve done a pretty decent job.

The Klutch Konnection rears it’s head lol.

Granted I’m not holding my breath waiting for Russ news everyday as I see a very good chance we start camp. If not even later.
Jamie Sweet says
Also it’s all dependent on health to LeBron and AD the rest of this debate is massaging the gray areas around those 2.
Jamie Sweet says
Nice Sasha imitation Gerald.

That’s it in a nutshell Jamie. No trades even matter if AD and LeBron can’t stay on the court. That’s the case with all teams. Other teams man not have fallen as far as the Lakers did when their stars went down but they had better depth. Bottom line is you don’t win a ring when star players are hurt.
Michael H says
This team will defensively. We will have to wait and see if we can get enough offense to support the improved defense.
LakerTom says
That’s going to hinge heavily on the shooting from trading Kyrie.
If we open the season with Russ, we’re going to suffer.

Thanks for watching guys. A few things still have to fall into place before the Lakers can truly compete at the top of the Western Conference. Hopefully getting younger is a good start to that.
