The Ben Simmons story will be the thunder cloud hanging over the NBA when camp opens. Evidently the 76ers met with Ben and his rep and he’s willing to sit out camp. Under contract for 4 years, 76ers would be crazy to suspend him as that would be the end of their hopes to get a big return package. Several teams, none named, saying they made “fair offers” for Ben but were rebuffed. The thing with living on the edge is eventually you fall off, Trader Darryl. Could be he’s waited too long for a haul that never existed.
Rondo should be considered mentor only material until the playoffs, maybe even then. DAJ…just don’t see the logic.
