Klay basically did not want to play with arch-enemy LeBron James. Lakers offered more money and years. Fuck Klay. May have dodged a giant bullet w/his defense.
Lakers still have great options but it will have to be a miracle for Rob Pelinka to follow through with any of them. Instead, I expect the usual wait until the trade deadline bullshit. Fuck Rob.
Why is it “F*ck Klay”? If his goal is to win another ring then why on earth would he come here instead of Dallas (who just made a Finals run)?
LT just getting antsy because we’re capped out and not going “all in” like a coked out gambler betting the house and little Ricky’s college fund.
Here’s an observation: by simply letting Klay and CP3 walk, while assuredly unpopular the Warriors just accelerated their rebuild timeline by 2-3 years. They have draft assets, Wiggins and change, they can trade for a decent player same as us and have one more pick to throw in. And, yes, pick swaps.
