It’s now or never for Kyle Kuzma https://t.co/qI4bKacoyW via @LakersSBN

Kyle Kuzma may have some lofty expectations to live up to in Orlando, but the young Lakers forward is in a perfect position to finally meet them.
With four months to recover physically and mentally, and a golden opportunity to prove that he can lead the second unit, there’s never been a better time for Kuzma to show that he has star potential, and the Lakers have never needed Kuzma to be that for them more than they do now.
If Kuzma doesn’t figure it out in Orlando, it could mark the end of his time in Los Angeles, or at least the beginning of the end, given that he becomes extension-eligible this summer. He may say he’s not worried about that, but it’s the reality of how things are.
In other words, it’s now or never for Kuzma to contribute to winning while being himself.

Another excellent piece on Kuzma’s great game last night against the Clippers by Christian Rivas for Silver Screen and Roll.

Shoot that ball Kuz! If he gonna shoot like this and play such good “D” he needs more shots!
LakerTom says
I disagree, DJ. Kuz is just playing smart, focusing on taking the high percentage shots that he normally makes at a high percentage, which are corner and above the break spot up shots as opposed to pull up jumpers off the dribble, which are the shots he usually misses. That’s a big reason why he’s shooting such a higher percentage. With LeBron and AD attracting so much attention, Kuz will get lots of open spot up jumpers. He should focus on making those rather than taking more shots. And playing defense.
