Due to the sheer volume of posts magicman drops here I think it both correct and appropriate that he be a co-editor of this section of the website. He’s also the soul of a lot of what we do. I also want for folks to feel free to post music, funny things, and of course all things Laker-related here. Per usual we shall attempt to keep politics and the like on the side lines…although given the current climate and how all things tie back into that aspect of our society it’s becoming increasingly difficult to do so.
But know this, even if we disagree or don’t see eye-to-eye there is a space for you here. Like there once was in America, all are welcome and encouraged to be actively participatory. Though I’ve only met LakerTom in person I feel as if you are all a part of this family. And it is a family. Families disagree, families need time away from one another. Families forgive.
So, to all that and more to come, to all the wins and losses we hope to enjoy from our purple and gold clad Lakers I say welcome, eyes forward and wind at our backs. Thanks everyone.
I actually think that’s a great idea, Jamie. Sean has always been a big part of the heartbeat of keeping the blog up-to-date with timely posts and encouraging comments. I’ve reached out to Sean and have asked him to share Blog Editor duties with you, Jamie. Waiting for his answer.
One of the encouraging signs is how many visitors are here all the time. The new Who’s Online widget at the bottom of the sidebar has never had less than 15 visitors reading content on the site and member comments have always been and will continue to be a big part of the site’s attraction.
