The only way to go over the salary cap is to resign your own players that have bird rights. For instance we could resign DLO, Austin and Rui and go over because we have bird rights. We could not resign Dennis or Lonnie and go over because they only played one year and we don’t have bird rights. Next year you will be able to bring back 110% of the money you send out in a trade but after that it will be dollar for dollar in a trade. The reason why the Warriors are so far over the cap is because they drafted a lot of their players.
So no willy nilly I’m a Billionaire and I gonna spend it! Okay
But you can’t. If you could rich teams would have an all star at every position.
