help. If DLO goes off the books at $31 Mil. Why could we not spend that on Kyrie (if he’d take it)? And we will lose more salary because we are not keeping Beezer and others that are not under contract for next season. And yes I know we’ll pay “Funky Music” about $15 Mil or so. Even at Pick 17 we should get a player.

If he took 30 then we could probably do it but it wouldn’t leave a lot of cap space. But why would he take 30 is the better question. He will get a bigger offer from the Mavs. Rarely does a player take far less than what he can get. It’s always business first. Malik loved the Lakers but he was offered 3 mil more by the Kings and took it.
What I do not understand is if we let DLO walk (Save $31M) and Beaser & friends get us another $30Mil.
We re over the cap and once you dip back down you need guys w/Bird Rights (have been on the team a spell) to go over the cap. That’s how GS has carried a massive team salary, they keep a lotta guys year to year.
