I promise the gap between D'Angelo Russell and Trae Young is smaller than three first round picks and several role players. https://t.co/DBa2lcweXb

Lakers need to figure out what they need to make LeBron, AD, and DLO a championship team. No way can they let D’Angelo leave or trade for a guard who is NOT a great fit next to him. Marcus Smart or Alex Caruso. Use your picks on one of them and a second big who can stretch the floor and protect the rim
Smart’s been washed. Never take those Celtics castoffs. There are times when you need a guy to step up and put the ball in the hole.
Caruso ain’t never been that guy. A move around the fringes for Caruso, sure. Multiple 1st’s? Nah. There’s a reason the Lakers let him walk and it wasn’t just being cheap.
None of the rumored guys on the move will be worth the combination of picks and matching salaries nor will they put the Lakers in any better position. Maybe Mitchell, but he either sucks now or is driving down the asking price purposely. He seems dead set on NY anyway.
Trae def doesn’t make this team any better, def not in Lebron’s tiny remaining window.
