The Switching is so silly at this point. I know some people see it as a way to “hide” a bad defender but there are several issues with our execution and personnel.
-we don’t commit to it physically, we’re soft on screens.
-we don’t communicate so there’s gaps for drives or shots.
-LeBron and Reaves and Rui are a bad defensive trio. You end up having to “hide” 3 or so players.
-Vincent has never been as advertised. Dude just looks cooked now.

See a trade happening as ever-shrinking option. If the goal was to evaluate what we have post DFS trade than the fires and Vando’s long return are throwing a wrench in that. Hard to see the Lakers throwing draft picks at role-players, as well, and Rui isn’t going to get you much.

I’m fine with a Rui/DFS role swap. The coach is the one folks need to convince, though, and he seems pretty locked in as far as keeping this starting five together. I can see pros and cons both ways and I think it’s a small fix, mostly cosmetic, anyhow.
