Interesting stats on the Lakers Post/Iso Offense vs. Rockets’ paint packing. The Lakers’ mistake is trying to post up like they do when they play big when playing small. They should be playing 5-out to spread the Rockets’ defense and remove any rim protection from the paint.
The Lakers would be wise to duplicate what the Rockets do when they play small and play 5-out. Pull Tucker out of the paint and force the Rockets to defend shooters beyond the arc. No way they stop LeBron, AD, or Kuzma from attacking the rim with nobody packing the paint.
