He won’t start at the 5. It’s not going to happen. Not in any game. He will play up to 5 more mpg as a center in a small ball line up in the playoffs. It will not be a drastic or serious deviation of how we’ve played up until now. Adjustments are small, wholesale line up changes are not. Frank isn’t going to wear him down or out like that.
The outlier could, could mind you, be the Rockets. You could see his mpg at the 5 bump to as much as 10 more/game. But he won’t start and you will still see the traditional line ups to start halves and at other times when Vogel feels comfortable containing three ball game with a 3 player rotation on the perimeter. We’re not going to just dump what’s got us here because of one team.
I agree. Wholesale lineup changes are not wise at this point except for minor adjustments. You are right, we should not get rid of what got us here because of one team. Excellent point.

Lakers going to need a lot of AD at the five to make it through these playoffs. Need to start AD at the five when we meet the Rockets on Thursday.
