Aloha,
Well day one is over, and for the Lakers, as David Byrne of the Talking Heads would say “Same as it always was”

The the Lakers face tough decisions, balancing star power, cap space, and team needs during this pivotal free agency period. But The pace at which this free-agency signings is going it seems like the well is running dry and the Lakers will be running out options. Within a few days the pipeline is running low enough to get me worried. I am still being optimistic.

Seems like Rob thought the office was closed because it was Sunday. But honestly, I didn’t expect us to do much in free agency because we simply didn’t have the cap space. LeBron caused a stir but that was a complicated longshot at best. Time to start looking at trading partners but more than likely we only make lateral moves and end up kicking the can to the trade deadline.
So yet another year of Rob not getting the job done in summertime and hoping for a miracle in the spring.
Like the man said….same as it ever was.

Context on LeBron James' potential pay-cut: His exact next deal with the Lakers seems dependent on what talent Los Angeles can add over coming days. In addition to Klay Thompson, sources told @YahooSports the Lakers have an eye on trading for Brook Lopez: https://t.co/njTZVUprlY

Lebron ain’t giving up half his salary for any of these dudes left who would fit into that MLE. Lakers FO needed to be ready to move quickly but that’s never been Rob’s strong suit (not sure he has one). CP3 & JV didn’t even wait around to go to a contender…

If the Nets really want him, make them beg….include Vanderbilt in the trade, and get other teams involved because there are no “game-changers” on the Nets……and last of all, win the trade, because as hinted NETS interested in DLO…..
