Aloha
Well yes we won, but there is no way I can call this a good win. Another big lead blown to a poor team is not a good win. The emotion I felt afterwards wasn’t joy or happiness, it was relief that we managed to hold on.
After the Kings loss, Robert Horry had an interesting observation. He said that when we pulled ahead by 13 he was a lot of smiles, laughter and celebration. He said in the Kobe Shaq days when they went up by 13 they wanted to step on your neck and destroy you. And when you think about it, after a big run, Kobe would still have his game face on. So with that comment still lingering in my head I watched the teams reaction during the time out after we went up 19. Smiles, laughter and celebration. We took our foot off there neck and let them back in the game. We stopped playing the way we did to build the lead.
Last night our big 3 carried us. But that is not a championship formula. If even had an off night we probably lose that game. THT managed to get a little involved but the other guys were reduced to spectators. Shooter need to shoot. This team really needs to create opportunities for the others if they expect to win.

Aloha, Michael.
This team continues to be maddening. We finally get a great game from all three superstars only to have everybody else on the team forget how to shoot. Yes, it’s a win and that’s a lot better than a loss. And yes, this is exactly why we traded for Russ so we wouldn’t have to rely on role players stepping up. But we’re still showing the habits and resolve of a .500 team.
And our head coach still refuses to replace Jordan and Bradley in the starting lineup. Jordan at least had a good game, which is a lot more than you can say for Avery Bradley, who went 0-5 and had the second worst defensive rating on the team. What will it take for Frank to go with anybody else at the two?
Finally, the only good sign was more positive lineups with LeBron at the five and comments by Frank that LeBron at center will be part of the team’s rotations going forward. That is positive news. I like the Lakers inverting LeBron and AD in what Frank calls ‘centerless lineups.’ Now that has promise. Bron’s defense, especially when playing center, was elite last night.

Aloha Tom, I still blame our offense for lack of shooting accuracy. if people are moving, touching the ball, in otherwards involved, its easier to find of rhythm then if you are standing around waiting. there is also added pressure when you finally get a shot. i would also like to see Bradley repaced with either THT or Monk. i don’t think it would effect our rotations that much with the way we rotate our stars. Like Basemore, his offense has fallen off a cliff. Monks defensive intensity has picked up and THT gets after it as well. yes neither are quite as good but Bradley is not that much better, to justify his lack of reliable offense.

Perhaps not those 2-18 shooters? Sign JJ.
