According to Jonathan Givony of ESPN, three of the players who the Lakers have either scheduled or completed workouts for include three projected lottery picks: Devin Carter, Zach Edey, and Ron Holland.
This is looking more and more like a done deal. There really is no reason not to announce immediately if his decision is to stay. There’s no reason to meet with university officials or team members if he’s staying. Those meetings only make sense if he’s leaving. Delay almost certainly means Dan Hurley is going to be the Los Angeles Lakers next head coach.
Kind of a silly take. Of course the Lakers are going to work out draft prospects. Even if the Lakers aim is to trade that pick, there is no guarantee that a trade will materialize. They have to be prepared for that scenario.
