Now we know why the Knicks were signaling zero interest in Russ months ago. Honestly did us a solid as they could have kept Rob on a string right up until 30 minutes ago.

The Knicks were smart. They moved Burks, Noel and Walkers salaries without taking having to take salary back. They also have 5 first rounders next year. All 3 contracts were expiring like Russ so taking on Russ had no benefit for them.
Yup, and each of those could still be flipped or retained. Detroit going full OKC.
