The Cav’s just traded for LeVert from the Pacer. They sent a 1st in this years draft, 2 2nd’s and Rubio’s contract. Like I have said before, there are not many GM’s with the kind of job security it take to wait 5 years for a draft pick to hit.
Expiring contracts proving more valuable than usual.
Should help Lakers move Russ now or this summer.
2 or 3 expiring contracts totaling 47 would be golden. One contract at 47 mil could be very problematic. Not sure there are many teams with 47 mil in deals that they want to shed.
Turns out the 2nd rounder was the Rockets pick for this year. It will be low 30’s. Almost another 1st.
Only option would be Thunder if we had a couple extra picks. They could eat Russ’ contract just to get to league minimum salary so wouldn’t really cost them anything to do it.

I don’t know all the ins and outs of trade and I understand dreaming with pipes. Would that Nets would give us Harden for Westy, 1st Pick, Nunn, THT and Reaves?
I doubt they would they would make the trade. Plus they would have to send the lakers around 16 mil in players salary to make the numbers work.
Big trade? Don’t see it going down in-season. Trade for THT and whatnot? …Maybe? But would the return be worth it? There’s the rub.
