Just a couple of first half observations. Why DJ over Dwight? We played LeBron at the 5, so why not start Dwight. Makes no sense.
We gave up defense to bring in 3 point shooters. Malik and Wayne each got one shot. If you wonder why 3 point shooters never pan out here, that’s why. Shooters need to shoot. Monk was on a roll and he’s been basically ignore. There will be no championship unless we can get more guys involved. It’s literally 3 on 5.

Aloha, Michael.
Completely agree. It’s like Vogel does not understand the process. We need to create lanes for our superstars to get to the rim. The way to do that is run plays to create open 3-point shots for your shooters, who are not LeBron, AD, or Russ. They should be the other two players in the lineup. When they’re threatening, then everything will open up for your superstars. When you do it the other way around, by running play after play for just your superstars, your shooter starve on the outside and your offense becomes one dimensional and they can focus on just the big 3.

From what I’ve been seeing, AD & LeBron aren’t really interested in attacking the rim at this point of the season. Settling for a whole lotta jumpers and LeBron especially shooting a ton of fade-aways even when he has room to operate in the post. Our offensive system is pretty much non-existent and that’s on the coaching staff. The FO has little confidence in Frankie which is why they only gave him a one year extension on his deal. Shoulda just cut bait and started fresh to begin this season, But he keeps LeBron happy by letting him do whatever he wants on the court, so he’s got that going for him…..

You wonder how much of the lack of effort is just veteran stars who know this is a long season and are just pacing themselves. Of course, the problem with always feeling you can just flip the switch is that sometimes, when you don’t make the effort all the time, the switch just won’t be flipped.
