For all his flaws the 76ers need Ben Simmons. At this point, with all the bad PR out there, he has the leverage. It’s a superstar-driven league, Ben has taken Embiid-less teams to decent places. Yes, his game has flaws but they won’t get back good value for him now and with the flurry of PGs finding new deals a lot of those won’t be available in a trade until sometime in Decmeber. Would the Wizards trade Beal for Simmons? I don’t see why, same with Dame in Portland which is at least out of conference.
Doc Rivers is my name, killing players confidence is my game!

“Doc Rivers is my name, killing players’ confidence is my game!” Hahaha! That’s a good one, Jamie. Funny as hell. Not sure if their relationship can be repaired, but it certainly will require one of them to take a bow and apologize. Where there is pride there has to be a fall, and pride comes before a fall.

Well said Buba. It’s like being a child of divorce when your coach throws you under a bus 🚌 you can’t trust Doc won’t do it again.
I also agree with Buba, it will take one of them hat in hand (Rivers). That might not be enough…

Philly fans did ride and die with him for 6 years. It was only after game 5 when the knives started coming out…

My thoughts exactly, Sean.

A coach that doesn’t get along with his players usually becomes unemployed. Isn’t that what happened with Rivers’ last job? His assistant replaced him. Not much to see here, folks.
