The fact of the matter is that Jeannie just flat out wasn’t gonna pay a whole lot of that luxury tax penalty. I think this might be the most they’ve ever paid and she wasn’t going much deeper than that. So that’s the given in this whole equation. When you accept that fact then you realize why our roster was constructed this way after acquiring Russ. And looking through that lense it’s also easy to see why Caruso was let go. And nobody had any incentive to cooperate in a sign & trade with us so…here we are.
