Been saying it all along. Unless he gets way overpaid for some unfathomable reason, or the only way he gets to a preferred destination that’s also capped out, there’s no reason for him to agree. Can’t imagine anyone’s that desperate for him nor is in any hurry to do the Lakers any favors.
Great points, a S&T for him that makes sense means finding a team willing to meet his contract demands beyond what we’re willing to pay to retain. I would play as hard a ball as necessary and if he walks at least we aren’t on the hook for his salary. Just means it’s more important to hold onto AC and THT, even Morris and anyone else who we can go over the cap to retain. Running it back is still highly likely.
