Good to see Chauncy get his shot. They ain’t moving Dame anytime soon…Lotta years left on that contract.
Was not a fan of Yankees keeping German. Seems like everybody has forgotten the Chauncey Billups rape allegations and settlement.
It’s fair to the man to point out, it was “alleged”. Yes, a rape kit was administered. He was not charged with a crime. That doesn’t mean a person Isn’t guilty of violating someone else, it means there’s no hard/DNA evidence he committed a crime.
These situations are always difficult to know who’s right and who’s wrong. I tend to believe the women for the obvious reasons but there are clearly cases where the accusations are false and monetarily motivated. There’s also situations where people change their minds midstream. Not saying Chauncey is a rapist but when there’s a settlement and a lot of smoke, it’s easy to say let’s move on rather than look harder at the evidence. JMO.
