Happy Birthday Pete Maravich

I was very depressed when I was reading various grades being thrown out there regarding this trade, mostly negative stuff about Rus. The average grade being C or worse. We have to realize that many people didn’t like Kobe in many ways because he’s seen as a villain and he, in turn, doesn’t care if he’s liked or not. All he does is impose his will and impact the game like no other player. Rus is about the closest thing with a Mamba mentality than any player I can think of right now, and he is a high motor caliber type of player. The dude is relentless and doesn’t care if he’s liked or not. Yes, he does have his weaknesses, but I would much rather have the first-ballot Hall of Famer every day and twice on Sunday.
