Marc Gasol gets his chance to start! Might be a smart move to give Dre some time off to get that toe well. It may be why he has not played well.
Going to miss Morris though. Who’s going to guard Tatum? I guess Kuzma. Going to be a challenging game. But winnable.

Amen Jamie…5 times. I’ll add the other good news aside from Schroder was Gasol help defense on the ball screens. Some times the +/- can be deceiving but in his case i thought he was clearly a plus player and earned his team leading +14.

Good point, Lee. I also thought Marc did a great job on the rotations. Smarts and anticipation and being in the right place can make up for a lack of speed, quickness, and athleticism. I was impressed with Marc trapping on the ball screens. You give up open threes if the trapped player makes the right pass and last night, the Blazers did, posting 32 assists. But good to see we can play good defense when Marc is in the game.
Trezz, on the other hand, struggled in his first opportunity to close games but Frank is right to play him early in the season. He needs to understand how to play our style of team defense if he’s going to be valuable in the playoffs and if we’re going to sign him long term. It’s worth a few regular season losses to see if he can adjust. He’s potentially a great addition to the team.
