Lakers rumors: 3 former players team should trade for instead of Brandon Ingram https://t.co/I3V0HzS2N0

1. Dennis Schroder
Enter Dennis Schroder, who could return to the Lakers for a third time in his career. The 31-year-old is having an extremely strong season for the pluckier-than-expected Brooklyn Nets, averaging 18.6 points and 6.5 assists per game. He is shooting 38.5 percent from deep, his best season since he played with Chris Paul on the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019-20.
2. Larry Nance Jr.
Nance is a solid defender, both as a secondary rim protector and a switch defender. On offense he is a reliable 3-point shooter so he is able to space the court for various lineups at both the 4 and the 5. He could thrive for the Lakers beside LeBron James as the backup 5 and potentially even in some minutes alongside Davis.
3. Svi Mykhailuk
The elite skill that Mykhailiuk brings to the table is shooting volume; he’s not necessarily an elite shooter in terms of accuracy, but he is comfortable getting shots up at a high volume. When he is hitting those shots, it can blow open a game. When he is not, he at least is providing spacing for his teammates.

Schroder s/b on the Lakers list for affordable POA point guard. It would be great If the Lakers could get him for a couple of seconds. Dennis is playing at an elite level both in the Olympics and this NBA season.
Nance is an interesting and affordable option as backup center. He’s shooting 55% from deep this season and 41% last season. Turned himself into a modern center. Would be great backup. Smart and can protect rim.

Fine with Schroder, haven’t seen him being available in talks and is an expiring deal so not much pressure on Brooklyn. They may even have sights on him staying as they’ll be able to build a decent team with all their incoming cap space this summer.
Atlanta has rebuffed LNJ trade proposals, thus far, and seem to like his skill set the same as the rest of the NBA. WOuld love he and Schroder more than Jerami Grant and R. Williams III.
Svi just replicates Dalton’s skillset, not sure there’s a spot in the rotation for him as he is not a plus defender. I’d trade JHS for him though lol.
Don’t see us being in a BI sweepstakes, either, but I also have him staying a Pelican this season as his market is not robust and he’s currently out indefinitely.
